Top Tips – Keep to your goals whilst living your life!
- Got an event coming up?
Eat a good meal (not just a snack) before you go then you wont feel hungry and so are less likely to eat or make poor choices whilst you are at the event.
- Invited to a dinner party or a gathering at a friend house?
Offer to bring a plate of food with you, so you can something tasty yet healthy so staying on plan without looking like you are not ‘joining in’ this may also encourage others to do the same so there isn’t temptation there and you are all thinking the same way.
- Announce your goals!
Share with friends and family what your goals are and you are looking to improve your health and fitness so they will be more understanding in certain situations or if you don’t want to attend certain events.
- Eating out at a restaurant?
Know what they have to offer before you go. Think and plan ahead so you make a wise choice and pre order whenever possible. Maybe offer to do it for the whole group then its not you doing it solo and it will also make it easier once there if the food is all pre ordered.
- Stick with the basics!
Keep easy to grab healthy snack on hand! With lots of driving and errand running/children ect … We are very busy and need to grab something fast and effective without tuning to something we shouldn’t, so keep healthy basic options at hand. For example, almonds, fruits, eggs, prawns, cooked meats, nut butters, olives, avocado, bits of chesses, chopped raw vegetables of your choice.
- Do the best you can!
Remember, getting control of your health and body composition is a lifestyle – change not a ‘diet’. Its not meant to be ‘perfect’ but definitely ok.

- Wholesome foods
Eat foods that are not messed with and processed, eat real foods
- Enjoy the odd dessert
